Question

We have 2 beautiful children and I’m 38 and will be 39 at the end of the year.  I can’t help but think what if.  Should we go for a 3rd?  Am I too old / too risky at this age?  Can we deal with another infant?  Our 2nd was super colicky and still to this day doesn’t sleep well. 😂    
I feel like time is running out on us.  Anyone regret not having another?

I’m a little younger than you. Had three kids by 25. Decided I was done. Well 29 rolls around and i wonder what if. Hubby wasn’t having it. When youngest was six and I was 31 hubby said ok let’s have another. Now 32 with a 13,7,6 and 4 month old.

Completely up to you! You aren’t too old at all and you can totally handle another one-we always figure it out! 
Maybe introduce yourself to the idea of having an infant again in different ways, like being around babies and limiting your alone time and truly search your heart to see if it’s what you want. That’s what I did because I’m 34 and trying for #3 and at first I wasn’t sure if I really wanted one or I was just scared I wouldn’t have the option much longer…but with a lot of careful thought me and the hubs decided we were all in to have sleepless nights, diapers and a crying baby because we truly in our hearts want one again.

For me I can’t handle more than 2 .I feel like that is the maximum I can properly parent. But that’s just me.Good thing about being older is that you have more experience with life in general . You know what you can and can’t handle. Go with your guts.

I'm with you. 37 now, 2 kids both very high risk. Last one was 4 years after a kidney and pancreas transplant. I am told ill hitenapsuse before age 40
