What are chances of a successful vbac

Just wondering...
We're not preventing a second pregnancy. My first ended up in an emergency c-section due to non-progressing labor (took over 50 hrs), my contractions were also very irregular and abnormal. But we don't know if there was a specific reason for it. 
My husband said that if we get pregnant again, he doesn't want me to try having a vaginal birth at all.
I would like to know my chances.. And I'm wondering how it went for you guys.

From what I’ve learned from women who did have it, to get a vbac you need a doctor who supports you, have enough time between the first c-section and the new pregnancy (so scars have healed and stuff) and have a scar that won’t break open if you try to deliver vaginally … but again… I learned this from someone else who’s seeking a vbac. So, check with your doctor and always do what’s best for you and your baby! 💛

I think its 100% doable in the right conditions. 
My 1st was vaginally, 2nd was emergency c section at 32 weeks.  
My 3rd was born 2 years after 2nd, and she was a beautiful vbac.  My water broke on its own, which is so odd, I don't dilate past 3 cm until the final hour before birth.  So when My water broke, I wasn't even 1 cm. And no contractions at all.   My midwife and OB consult gave me 24 hrs for a vbac or it would be a section. 
At the 12 hr mark I had contractions every 3.5 minutes but no progression at all. Still less than 1cm.  So I opted for induction via oxytocin.   Fast forward to hour mark 19, contractions every 1 minute and went from 3cm to 10cm in 20 minutes.    I had to wait until the on call OB came, to push as where I am, the midwife is not aloud to deliver vbac alone.   So she was born at the 20 hour mark.  I know if I hadn't chosen induction, I would have ended with a c section.  With my first, I labored for 52 hours before he was born. With contractions every 2-5 minutes the whole time. 
So needless to say, I say go for it.  :)   were ttc our 4th and it will be a vbac again as long as all goes to plan.

My story is similar to yours but at all 48.5 hours of labor my baby stopped breathing bc cord was wrapped around her neck. I was also Induced 3 weeks early with preeclampsia. 
We want one more baby and I want to have that one back. My doctor gave me the ok to start trying at 8 months pp bc it took so long to get pregnant the first time. She said we can definitely try vbac.

Why doesn’t he want that? You’re not going to have a successful VBAC at all with someone who’s unsupportive. 
It depends on your body and your doctor. You’d have to discuss it with your doctor.

Depends on a lot of things. You need to have a dr that does Vbacs. At very minimum of 18m from previous csection to actually get pregnant. There’s a lot of other factors in play.
