Help! Idk what to do with 10-12 month old all day?

What do you stay at home parents do with your 10 to 12 month olds each day? Especially when it’s really hot outside.

We play… he’s also perfectly content to play independently so if he’s going ham on some blocks, i just read while he’s doing his thing.

When my kids were this age, we did lots of reading, playing  toys, we did early morning park visits before it got too hot, swimming, water play outside like in a kiddie pool or sprinkler, going out for a drive, walking around in stores to window shop, and family visits.

My daughter is very independent, so I cut her loose in her room with her puzzles and toys and then part of her night routine is helping pick up. I have a 8day old at home also, so this helps a lot when it's too hot or if I'm too tired to hang. 
I also try and do activity tables with coloring or stacking or puzzles in the living room to keep her occupied. Also keep a box of books close. She really loves doing things with tinkering, so I kinda plan things based off what she likes and keep little boxes of things in each “play area” so I can keep her in my sight. Lol 
If you are outside, I just recommend keeping hydrated,  keel a cold rag for hot faces, and making sure shade is around if it is an activity that doesn't include water play.

Go to the park and push him on the swing. Sit him in a kiddie pool with a bunch of measuring cups. Go to a local zoo. Meet up with friends. Go to the library and pick out a bunch of picture books. Take a walk through the neighbourhood and get a cold drink at the store for yourself.
