This Cold is Kicking My Butt

Really, I'm just venting, but I caught a cold two weeks ago (I'm 7 weeks along), and the coughing and chest congestion is awful. I have to wear pads 'cause I cough so hard, I pee myself a bit every time. I even lost a bit of my dinner today because of it. No nausea. It just got forced out. Sometimes I get the cough because of phlegm and other times because of a brutally irritating tickle in my throat (which has caused me to be late for work, 'cause I had to step off the bus cause I didn't want to make a scene). I did miss a day of work because of the cough. And I'm now making involuntary vocalizations as I'm falling asleep (like a moan) which wakes me up every. damn. time. And I don't see any sign of it letting up. I've done the fluids, the vapor, the vapo rub, etc. Trying to hang in there til Thursday when I can see my doctor. Might try picking up some guaifenesin syrup tomorrow (expectorant; safe), and hopefully it helps.
