How do you clean the shells?

I have been using all in one diapers for the first 8 months but my son is getting too big. So I switched to the waterproof shells and folded inserts. I was told you can wipe them down so you can reuse them (with pees). But I don’t really know how to clean it well enough but keep it from getting too wet. I’ve been just throwing them in the wash every use lol. Any tips?

I just wiped with a baby wipe and let mine air-dry until the next change. I'd alternate two shells a day unless one got poop on it – then it'd go in the to-be-washed bucket and I'd grab a fresh one for rotation.

I clean them with a wipe and then tp. I use them for a day or so then throw them in the wash.
