Is it okay for my baby to watch educational shows like coco melon or other ones??

Depends on how old your child is (I don't know if and how I can check that here).
Babies before 2nd birthday shouldn't have any time screen at all. The only moment they are allowed to see screen is when your parents are living far away and the baby "meets" them this way (it's then still more about voices and relationship)
Baby's brain can't process what the child sees on a screen correctly. It's also too much action going on and children are overstimulated (there are studies on it, e.g. that the view for 2yo shouldn't change more often than once in 11 or 12 seconds). Parents  don't  see it, because it can be that the baby is super quiet at the moment or/and is yelling hours after (so parents don't connect those)
And the argument that babies learn something is so stupid. They will learn regardless of the screen time. Maybe not that fast, maybe faster. My daughter was watching some music videos from time to time (when she was sick and we had to inhalate, about 10 min at time) but other than that- no screen time. So no educational videos, nothing- and she was able to name maybe 6-8 colours in two languages before she turned 2... 
She's 2,5 now and can count to 20 in those 2 languages (I don't know when she picked it up! 🤣🤣) and can do 15 pieces puzzle (20 with little help).
She can also name animals, parts of the tree or a flower, human body.... whatever you want... and I didn't take special time to teach her... it happens just naturally when I talk to her. And we have nice books 🙂 (Oh, she also knows some letters- we have a magnetic board and the letters were cheap- so I bought them for her to play... she started to ask questions... 😇🤣)
I understand a single mum who has to do so many things by herself and let the child watch tv from time to time. But for "regular" parents- I think they do mistake and don't plan for the future...
I believe that teaching self- entertaining should be a goal. Watching tv teaches that someone has to provide the entertainment- it comes from outside.
O God - it sounds like I would crucify someone for tv... no, there are plenty of worse things to do to a child... but you were asking and that are my thoughts and it's just tip of the iceberg...

Absolutely not. You shouldn’t let your child have any screen time because it actually turns their brain to mush and you’ll start to see it ooze out of their ears. 😩

I don’t want to even imagine not having my son watched tv. The amount of words he learned from singing is unbelievable. He knows how to count, alphabet etc he’s only 2. And I’m teaching him 3 languages.

Ideally kids should be 2 before introducing tv or other electronics. That flew out the window when the pandemic hit and daycare closed down on us. Our girl was 14 months before we finally gave in. Then we stuck with Sesame Street so she could see real humans and puppets interacting together. Our pediatrician said humans should be in the show to show emotion and to attempt to stay away from animation when we could. We agreed with that approach. Now our girl is 2 and loves the show. She’s home today with a virus and I’m working while she watches it in spurts. Otherwise we never use our tv. 
Technology in moderation is how we go.

Honestly my two year old learns more from coco melon than she does me. I tried everything and she just gets bored with me and prefers coco melon. She honestly learns a lot and has been saying more words.

There just isn’t any point. Children won’t really understand what’s going on from the tv until they are about tv. I’m not a huge fan of screen time for children. If I want to get dressed or make lunch or something. Usually I will put my twins in front of mirror with some sensory bottles. That keeps them entertained for a while

Yes it is!!! My baby LEARNS A LOT from just watching educational shows on YouTube. She knows her colors and some alphabet letters. I of course practice those with her but she was exposed to them on YouTube.

The only time we do it is when we are on car trips and she is DONE being in the car seat. It helps her calm down and fall sleep after a few minutes. Otherwise we avoid it because they don’t really understand it at this age (what the doc said). I don’t think it harms them, docs just don’t want parents using the screen as a baby sitter.

babies under 2 are more likely to learn from real life than they are watching videos. that being said, it’s perfectly okay to turn on the tv and watch educational programs, they’re still learning and making connections. i say as long as there’s a healthy mix of interactive play and screen time, go for it ! hell i still put on baby einstein’s and sesame street for my 7yr old
