I spent $40 on a lightbulb.
Still better than buying a new baby monitor system lol! I wanted to share this product if any of you got an older baby monitor - from a previous pregnancy, hand me down, rummage sale etc. that maybe is not as good at night vision as it once was.
Old baby monitors are probably still good at up close (like aimed straight into a crib) but mine across my toddlers room was almost pitch black at night, totally useless. I found this Lifx Nightvision lightbulb on Amazon and waited for a sale and tbh if I was rich my house would be full of these stupid things. My toddler and I spent like two hours changing the colors. And I can turn it off from across the room. At just 25% nightvision the entire (large) room looks like daylight on the baby monitor at night. But the light looks like it’s off! Super cool.
You can buy an infrared night vision lamp for cheaper but they usually need an adapter and are really intended for security cameras. I was gonna go that route (would be $25) but I didn’t want to deal with extra cords so it’s nice this goes right into a lamp.
