Potty training is grueling

Anyone else struggle with potty training? I have friends with toddlers who seemed to just pick it up right away and they did great but we are struggling with our 3 year old son. I started after he turned 2 introducing the potty and knew right away he probably wasn’t ready so we tried again a few months after that, and now we’re trying again for the 3rd time and i feel like he’s totally ready now but it’s still not simple or easy!

We’ve gotten all kinds of pottys, tried rewards, let him pick out his undies, etc and he’s been doing way better this time even telling us when he needs to potty and running to the bathroom but we still have so many accidents 🥲

My poor floors are destroyed and the house feels just icky. I’m doing laundry like every hour trying to clean his underwear 😫 I know it’s a lot for him and it’s new but it’s also taking a toll on me. I’m just hoping there’s a light at the end of the tunnel lol we’re on day 4!

I know it’s not going to be perfect, but how long did it take your little one to catch on and not have as many accidents?!
