Are most fruits sweet?

So my baby’s father asked what “sweet” fruits he can feed our baby. This was part of the conversation that followed. When I asked him about it in person, he clarified that he has never had a fruit that was sweet besides watermelon and that’s why he doesn’t eat fruit. He said he had a mango recently and it wasn’t sweet. It just blew my mind. Now, I thought everyone knew that most fruits are supposed to taste sweet if they are at peak ripeness but maybe I’m wrong???

Some are sweet some are tart and some are bland kinda. 
Strawberries can be sweet and tart
Watermelon can be sweet or dull 
Pineapple sweet or tart
Grapes sweet or tart
Peaches sweet or tart
Apples sweet or tart (green)

I suppose it depends on the person. I think they are all sweet but not in a sugary chocolatey kind of way. Some are a bit sour (some grapes, apples, strawberries) but all in all I find them to be sweet. Ask him what the fruits taste like to him. Some people who are allergic to certain fruits will taste them as spicy

It depends what you consider fruit. Avocado, cucumber, zucchini and tomato are all technically fruits but aren’t sweet

A lot of fruit can be either sour or sweet. It also depends on the time of year and if its ripe. Like every time Ive had papaya it’s been disgusting but people say it’s good and sweet so idk if it’s just the time of year I got it. He doesn’t eat a lot of fruit so he’s probably just going off what he has had. Have him try the fruits you buy for your baby lol
