Naming a pet
A light debate. My husband and I disagree on this and I'm curious to hear other perspectives.
I grew up naming our pets people names. We actually gave full first and middle names, and usually called them by their nickname. For example, a pet might be James Michael, and we'd call him Jimmy.
My husband grew up giving pets non-traditionally people names. For example, a pet might be Fluffy or Thunder.
This came up as a point of particular annoyance for him when discussing names for our child because his absolute favorite name happened to be the same name as my childhood dog. I just couldn't name my baby after my dog. He complained about "using up" people names on pets.
I can't imagine most of you getting too passionate how other people name their pets 😂, but where do you stand on naming your own pets?
