Is it ok to travel to see a guy?

So I’ve been talking to this guy for 3 months. For the past month, we have been talking A LOT. I like him he seems like a really good guy. He lives in a city that I love and he asked me to go there and I can stay with him if I want to. Honestly, I want to go! But I’ve never seen this guy. Is it stupid if I go? Or should I just do it? I can definitely go to a hotel if I don’t like him. I’ll still enjoy the city.

A week ago he visited my town and he wanted to see me but I was so busy I couldn’t go out. He was only here for 2 days so I didn’t see him. And we have been video chatting.

Why would it be stupid?? Go if you want! I would stay at a hotel regardless of how you feel about him, personally. You are still getting to know him and staying alone in his home could be dangerous.

You can go but book yourself a hotel. Do not agree to sleep at his place. 
You need to be safe when meeting a stranger 
1. You may find you have zero chemistry in person (I’ve been there! I was talking to a guy for over a year and when we finally went on a date it was uncomfortable because neither of us felt any chemistry) 
2. He may expect see if you sleep over even if you’re not comfortable with it. He may even pressure you into it. Also, there’s a possibility of rape.

Never seen him in "person" or even a pic? Video chat??? I mean if none of those maybe catfish and save your time but if you seen pics ect then if you feel safe go for it. Have a back up plan. Let ppl know where you are ect. Be smart

Video chat before you go. I would also say if you are hell bent on visiting him first, stay at a hotel and don’t tell him where you are staying. Meet at a neutral location. However, I think it would be safer if he came to where you live first.

He’s a complete stranger, I would never do that, if he wants to see you, his ass can get on a plane or in a car or anything else why are you making the expense and the sacrifice. For all you know it could be a set up, a catfish, when you get there somebody’s waiting to rob you or anything else. Remember this one story where they were talking on the Internet and it was a man and a woman and the Lord them to a hotel, they rob them at gunpoint rape etc. If somebody wants to be in my life they can make the effort personally I wouldn’t do it, you definitely need proof of life with a video chat or some thing, there’s so much scammers and identity theft and so much crap on the Internet I had just sounds like a red flag to me for human trafficking or sex trafficking or anything else

How far is it to where you live? We talking train or flight
I know it’s somewhere you would love to see but I wouldn’t do it right now I think it’s too soon if you haven’t even talked outside text
