When will labor begin?

I am about 37 weeks pregnant and exactly 4 weeks ago I went into labor and delivery and they ended up checking my cervix which was short and 1cm dilated. I have not been checked since then so I’m unsure if I’m dilated any more from that. I’m super anxious and excited and just would like to know if things should start happening soon or is it more of a chance nothing will happen for another few weeks?

No way to know. Dilation doesn’t mean anything until active labor. You could be 3cm for weeks or for hours. No way of knowing.

You could still have a while. I was at a 3 for weeks before I went into labor.

Try to relax and don’t obsess over when labor will happen. You are going to know if u go into labor lol try to enjoy these last few weeks!

There is really no way to predict when you will go. I've had 4 kids and each time was different. 
1st water broke 2 weeks early
2nd had her on my due date
3rd 5 days early but was induced
4th 4 days late
It will happen when it is suppose to.. Best of luck.
