My missed miscarriage. Is this normal?
I had a missed miscarriage two months ago & I just need to know if what I experienced was normal. My doctor told me that there was no heartbeat during my 2nd appointment (I was 10 weeks) and that I would miscarry in the next week or so. I had two days of hardcore labor. I went to the ER. I had no pain medication and they offered me a Tylenol and insisted that I go home. It took them almost an hour to get a blood pressure on me because it was so low and I was vomiting very often. I have never experienced that kind of pain in my life. No one believed that I was really not doing well. The ER eventually sent me home with actual pain medication and it DID NOT HELP. I had a D&C first thing Monday morning. I think I will always have PTSD from the experience alone, not to mention the unimaginable grief of losing a baby. Does everyone have that much pain??
I really want to know if the standard of care for a miscarriage is really this low or is this not normal?
