Swollen lymph nodes in neck
Has anyone had swollen lymph nodes for an extended period of time?
I have MS and apparently that’s not a typical cause, but I have swollen lymph nodes in my neck. They’ve been swollen since about March.
I can find two on one side and one on the other.
I’ve had my thyroid checked and it’s benign.
BUT these lymph nodes remain swollen. They can’t be seen, but they can be felt. They’re not hard, sort of soft/ maybe a little firm.
My doctors don’t seem concerned, but it’s still weighing on my mind that they’re still there.
They seem mostly movable. One side gets a little sore sometimes. The other side of my neck, where the other two swollen nodes are, doesn’t really get sore.
When I was diagnosed with MS in March during an emergency room visit, where my symptoms made me feel quite sick.
I had 2 CT scans and 3 MRI of my head and neck. But nothing noted at that point, other than an ER nurse saying they were swollen. This the point where they noticed a thyroid nodule (the one that ended up being benign) which led to an ultrasound. They did note a swollen lymph node here, but nothing came of it.
Has anyone else had this? It just seems like such a long time.
