Getting over your first love

Just recently finally ended my first real relationship. I'm 22, got into it when I was 20. He was literally my first everything. Sadly he says he doesn't see himself with me and doesn't want to waste his time or mine. There also happens to be another girl in the mix so I really feel like that is the main reason for why he is doing this. I feel as though it would hurt less or it would be easier if he didn't have another girl. Completely torn from this. Any advice on how to get over your first love or atleast try to move on from it?
