I dont want kids at the wedding!

I dont want kids at the wedding. With the exception of up in arms newborns type of thing and immediate family kids (consisting of one niece and two nephews) I do not want kids.

I have no issue inviting just for example a mom and dad and not inviting their four children.

Personally, I have been to countless weddings and usually most memories from those weddings are screaming kids or running kids or people not keeping their kids in check and let them touch and break things. I do not want that for our day.

My fiance thinks I'm unreasonable (unfair to people to have to find sitters for their kids). Also an important note here. The venue we have both decided on, not only are my parents paying for, but children are not included in the package price. They are extra. And not a few bucks extra. They are $120 per child between the ages of 2 and 10.

Besides the 3 kids we mentioned earlier (my parents agreed to cover their cost) they refuse to pay for the extra 8 children on my fiances side - the kids of people he wants at the wedding most of which are not family. And no I don't even want him paying for the extra kids ... it isnt about money fully. It's mostly about the uncertainty surrounding kids and their behavior.

Awful for not wanting kids at the wedding?

Or is it cool to say no kids everyone?!
