If you stop birth control mid pack will it mess up your hormones?

I stopped taking bc mid pack the second week and I wasn't taking them properly I barely started taking them too I was put on them to regulate my periods cause I didn't have one for 3 months but the fact that I'm ttc I decided there's no point in me taking them. I didn't get pregnant this month because the pills probably didn't cause me to ovulate I tested yesterday bfn and hopefully waiting by the end of December I'll get my bfp.
