When you could start giving your baby regular milk , what did you decide on ?

My baby is currently eight months old🥳. 
I don’t want my baby to use whole milk 🥛once the doctor says it’s okay for him to start drinking regular milk. Also my baby is breast-fed so I’d never go for formula.
 (NO OFFENSE TO THE MOMMIES THAT ARE FEEDING THEIR BABIES FORMULA) 
but once he’s able to start drinking whole milk, I want to substitute it for something else but I wanted to see if any other moms tried that to ￼￼￼🤔😓😬 or am I just Weird 🥴..

Babies need whole milk. The fat content supports brain development and growth.

You don’t have to give milk. Your breast milk doesn’t magically go bad at midnight on their 1yr birthday.

When my daughter turned one I started introducing organic whole milk.. but if you’re against while milk then why did you even put it as an option under your poll?

My kids don't drink any milk. They do eat other dairy products(milk and cheese) and eats a good variety of foods. After turning 2 my son started occasionally drinking whole milk, but it's not a staple of his diet. It's the fat and calcium that's most important, but there's are tons of sources for both

Whole milk gave my first and second severe constipation. My pediatrician says whole milk isn't required as long as your kids are eating enough and getting enough fat and calcium from their meals. My first was constipated by cow milk and wouldn't take alternatives. My second was constipated by cows milk and briefly took soy milk before rejecting it. My third rejected cow, almond, oat, and soy milk. He accepted rice milk so that is what he is on. Pediatrician is fine with it. He's a chunky boy who eats anything and everything.

After a year old my son started drinking almond milk. He breastfed for 2 years though. He sometimes drinks regular milk now if it has like chocolate breakfast essential powder or Nestle strawberry powder. He hates the taste of whole milk. But he loves plain unsweetened almond milk
