Owlet Issues

We’ve had nothing but problems with our owlet monitor and wondering if others have experienced them as well. We got one from our registers after my husband did research as saw good reviews for the owlet but we couldn’t get it to connect to our WiFi so we exchanged it for a new one. We were able to get that one connect but have experienced connection issues on and off for months. Baby is 7 months old now and I haven’t even used it for the last two months cause I can’t get my phone to connect to it. When my baby first moved to her room the monitor would disconnected overnight and I’d wake up and have no idea how long I haven’t been able to hear her. I ended up just getting a cheap traditional monitor for sound and we would just use the owlet if we wanted to see her. Feel like we wasted our money since we aren’t even using it now!! Is this just a rare thing or do others have the same problem?
