Can a child get rid of strep throat without the need for antibiotics?

Also, do you have a cough with strep? My baby is three, and he has a really nasty cough. He hasn’t ran any fevers, but he had pink eye in both eyes with this cough. I was able to clear the pink eye but he still has the cough. His older sister had strep throat about a week ago, and he’s exhibiting all of the same symptoms as she is. I’m going to try my best to get him into a pediatric doctor tomorrow morning. But is there anything I can do in the meantime?
