IUI after ovulation

Success stories? Ovulation surge the day before IUI, felt severe ovulation pain starting at about 5pm day before

IUI, and it lasted a couple hours. Had

IUI at 10:45AM the following morning. Even took trigger shot *after* I felt ovulation pains since it was doctors orders and i couldn’t call and ask due to them being closed. Any stories similar or any feedback if this is normal? When I conceived son I ovulated after IUI I’m pretty sure, so can’t help but worry.

Also, nurse said egg lives 36 hours after its released? Online it says different, I’m so confused!!
