On again off again constipation?

In a one year old?

I feel like such a stressed out mama, single mama for that matter, because my one year old is sometimes constipated with hard poops. His doc just gave us some lactulose and said to use it when his poops are hard or constipated and sent us on our merry way

They said no concerns, just it happens..

For 3 weeks he was doing amazing with good poops. No issues. Now its happening again :(

I thought it would over and not happen again? Nothing in his diet changed, just randomly happened..

And yes Imm doing the liquids, prune, fruits, etc all that jazz

Anyone else have this happen with their child where they have good poops then constipation then good poops etc etc? Like a cycle

I feel like SUCH failure right now.
