Disagreement on finding out gender.

Almost 21 weeks

Husband has been all for finding out the gender asap. And I want it to be a surprise at birth. I want him to know that I care about his wants, but I also want to feel like he cares about what I want.

We can't figure out a happy medium..

We considered gender reveal at the baby shower. But my mom shut that idea down. She said "everyone will probably be frustrated that they got you gender-nuetral gifts" and "if your willing to find out then, than you might as well just find out now"...
