Anyone been pregnant but never got a positive at home?

So I’m curious. As someone who’s ttc and been learning about family member’s ttc journeys, I found out recently that when my mom was pregnant with me she never technically got a positive at home test. She took a test that was negative, threw it away then looked at it again later it had a faint 2nd line (nowadays we consider that an indent) but she took it as a positive and made an appt to confirm and she was pregnant! It’s such an interesting story she never got a proper positive pregnancy test! Has that ever happened to anyone else?
