Should I negotiate pay rate as a new nurse?

Hi All, 
I am a single mom to a baby and also a new nurse. I have been offered a position at an employer, however, the pay rate is not ideal for what I want as a new nurse as it is the bare minimum amount they can offer a new nurse in my state. I am not trying to be too overboard in my wants for pay rate, but I do feel that this employer can increase the pay by at least a dollar or two knowing that they are hiring some experienced nurses at a pay rate of 60-90 dollars. 
With that being said, do you think I should negotiate pay? I am a little timid to do this as I am a new mom and I know the importance of providing for my child, however, I don’t want to possibly loose the opportunity for working for his employer as I need to be working right now- so I’m kind of at a dilemma. In addition, covid is very still real, so I want to be safe... what do you think? Try to negotiate pay? Or set aside my pride and take what they are offering me?

The nurses making 60-90 an hour are nurses with years and hears of experience.
That’s the rate my mother would get and she’s been a nurse for over 30 years.
You need to work your way up.

Ask them if they can up the offer.. it doesn’t have to be a stiff uncomfortable subject.

Look at the average for your area and level of experience and ask for that

What kind of nurse are you…where will you be working…there’s a lot of factors at play here. I’ve been an RN for 3 years. In PA where I am, a decent rate would be about $35/hr…not agency, in a nursing home setting. 
I’m agency though & grandfathered into my covid pay until the end of the year (soaking that up bc it’s significantly more than $35 lol I know it won’t last forever). 
There’s no harm in trying to negotiate pay…but just know it may not happen…at least not right away. Good luck!

Your new in the working field.. Take what they give you and work your ass off to prove you deserve that pay increase.. Everyone starts from the bottom ;)
