Am I being irrational?

So my husband has needed a colonoscopy for a long time now, a few months ago I finally got him to call and book an appointment. It was scheduled for this Monday the 13th. We both requested the day off of work since I would need to drive him. I’m a dental hygienist and he’s a pharmacist and, like all places, we’re both short staffed. He works for a large company and I work at my towns dental office. I got my day approved right away and they put in for temp coverage. They couldn’t find anyone so on Friday they cancelled all of my Monday patients. His work never even responded to him about it and I have been asking him for weeks to follow up and he didn’t. He finally had to follow up Friday when he hadn’t heard back and they said they can’t find coverage and he needs to work.

So now I feel like such an asshole for canceling my entire day when we’re short staffed and all these patients were rescheduled months out. I’m mad at my husband for not following up and making his health a priority. And then on top of all of that we have vacation planned for the next week and his vacation time STILL hasn’t been approved… I have so many things planned and booked. I have family pictures booked and if I cancel we lose our money. He gets 4 weeks vacation (which runs November-November) and he hasn’t used a single day of it! I’m pissed off that his work is like this and that every other person has been getting their time approved but him. When we were trying to plan vacation and he looked into available time to take off with work, everything was booked up until September, so that tells me pharmacists are taking vacation.

Im 2.5 months pregnant so I’m super hormonal so I’m just so sad and mad and I can’t move past these feelings 😭 But am I being irrational with these thought or am they justified?
