My step son tried to kill himself yesterday

My 19 year old step son is in the hospital in suicide watch. He tried to end his life yesterday. My husband found him and he had overdosed on his medication so my husband stuck his fingers down his throat to get him to throw up.

He was originally kicked out because of all the disrespect. Him cussing at me and putting me in a head lock after I just had a baby. Fighting his dad. Almost 2 weeks ago he was at our door naked with a busted lip and his face dry with blood from his nose. He was so dirty too. Leaves in his hair. Covered in dirt. He said nothing to us and went limping to his room. He never left his room except to shower and use the bathroom. He didn't say anything. His mom didn't know what happened and said 2 weeks ago was the last time she heard from him and he was getting drunk at frat parties... He's stable now but still refuses to talk to us ..

@Nes I was thinking it could be a sexual assault but was too scared to ask. All his friends are shitty frat boys who are just awful all the way around. As for what happened between me and him I'm not too concerned about that anymore. Just really worried about his suicide attempt.

He had several places to go when he was kicked out and we just didn't want to pry and figured he would tell us when he was ready.
