Discharge

I go through phases of having a lot of discharge, colourless, no unpleasant smell, but it's really embarrassing. If I don't wear a little tena lady pad thing it makes my underwear wet and sometimes whatever I'm wearing on my bottom half damp. Is this normal? It happens every few months for a few days and then stops (can't say if it's my normal cycle because I've been off the mini pill for a week and didn't have normal cycles) please help xx
