bug bites or something else?

Edit: Thanks everyone. Ringworm was exactly what I was thinking, but then my mom was saying she’s had bug bites like that, and had me second guessing. Getting him checked!

I’m pretty sure these are just bug bites because the babysitter’s yard has a huge mosquito/bug problem. (There is a field nearby that basically becomes a swamp when we get a lot of rain.) She does put kid safe insect repellent on the kids, but my son has still had mosquito bites. But I’ve never seen anything like this.
