Confused

I’ve been with my guy on and off for the last two years.

He was the one who reached out last & we’ve been hanging out again for about a month now. I asked if presently how much does he want us to be together? He said he’s leaning to 60% being with me and 40% not.

I’m so confused on how to act or to do. I want us to be together and work it out but with this answer idk if I’m wasting time trying. I feel he has a wall.

I don’t even know how to express myself to him without he thinking I’m arguing with him. I explain I just want us to communicate better.

I really feel in limbo. Specially because I feel he makes it hard to communicate.

In the past I’ve been the one who breaks up. As if running away when we can’t see eyrie eye.

So now he feels he can’t trust when I say I want us to be together. I’ve always want to it’s just I never felt listened to. So I felt the relationship wouldn’t work if we don’t communicate.
