Should I stop taking BV meds?
Hi, I’m in a bit of a dilemma here. Recently I had a yeast infection so I took my one day pill and was waiting for it to clear up but I did have a bit of an odour but it wasn’t bad or fishy. The following day I got my period and I had noticed the odour had gotten stronger but still not fishy and assumed it was BV. I phoned the doctor and asked for the prescription for BV (Metronidazole or Flagyl) and I got it, its for 7 days (4 pills a day). Last night I took the two pills I was supposed to, and this morning I took two again. However ive noticed this odour is completely gone now (probably not because of the antibiotics.. or maybe idk?!) and its just the regular period smell. I feel like I jumped the gun on taking them and now I’m wondering if I should stop taking the antibiotics as ive only taken one days worth or if I should just finish the course of them and take a yeast infection pill a few days before I finish to avoid getting that incase I actually don’t have BV… Help?
