12wk old fell off the couch! Should I take her in to the hospiral?

Question

So she was sleeping and she fell off while I walked away for literally 5 seconds. She screamed and cried but stopped when I picked her up and seemed ok. She nursed a bit and went back to sleep. The doctors office is closed so cant get advice from them…
She seems fine… what should I do?  The couch is not super high and she fell on a carpet.

If it would make you feel better…I would. My daughter fell and the pedi’s office told us that because babies are challenging to read after a fall, it’s always safest to go to the hospital. We did and they took us in immediately and sent us home once they did their evaluation. I felt SO much better after. Like SO MUCH. I needed to know she was okay for sure.

Definitely go if it will make you feel you need to, but she is probably okay. Most babies have a fall at some point and most of them are completely fine.

Voted yes by mistake, I’d just keep an eye on her and if she seems as alert as normal and eats fine then I don’t think you have anything to worry about. Happens to literally everybody at one point or another. Happened to me when my son was a baby, but from higher and not onto rug.
