Need advice, husband doesn’t help with baby
So we have a 12 week old and we’re both first time parents. We have a very difficult baby and as much as I love her its been hard to adjust to motherhood.
Anyways, my husband literally does nothing to help. He doesn’t feed her, doesn’t bathe her, doesn’t care for her when she cries, doesn’t do night wake ups. I have to ask him to hold her once in a while so they can bond. Hes always working or playing golf or sitting watching TV.
Example today he worked all morning which is fine. Then took the afternoon off ti play golf. Came home at 7pm and barged into the bedroom and woke the baby up. Then proceeded to go watch tv with I put her back to sleep which took 2hrs and I missed dinner (dinner that I made while taking care of her)
And tomorrow hes off in the morning playing hockey and playing golf in the afternoon and I wont see him until 7pm again.
I have explained to him that I need help and that Im fucking lonely!!! And nothing changes. Im starting therapy for PPD next week and I feel like he doesn’t get that its serious… when I communicate with him that i need more from him he will “try” to hold her for Like 20mins and acts like he did his part.
I feel like maybe I should move to my parents to get some help with the baby….
