My 13 month old baby is not walking yet. He’s been cruising and has started standing on his own. Today I was looking at him when he was doing it. He fell forward on what I thought it was his knees but he was crying in so much pain.

I held him and l was touching him to see if my touch would make him cry more, but nothing. He nursed and calmed down, but when he tried to stand by the couch he just couldn’t bear weight on his left leg.

With the help of my FIL who is a doctor we ruled out hip injury. He’s been crawling and sitting with no problem, but he obviously wants to stand to explore and cruise and it breaks my heart.

Freaking Friday night, with a 4 year old and baby, with my husband working tonight and all weekend, and I’m just really anxious about him. I gave my son painkillers, he had a happy bath, but after dinner he wanted to play and stand again.

Has this happened to any of you? I guess I just want reassurance. I’ll call the clinic tomorrow to see if they can take him in.
