Would this be rude or tacky?
My husband's birthday is next week and mine is in a few weeks, and then with Christmas coming up...
We don't need gifts from people, but I was thinking of someone asked what we wanted, we could ask for donations for IVF.
Only 2 people know that we have been going through fertility treatments for the past 5 years. We are at a point where our next step is IVF, but we won't be able to afford it for quite a while. So we're kind of at a stand still.
Would it be in bad taste to ask for this (if someone offers to buy us a gift)? We want everyone to know what we have been going through, but we have had trouble finding the right time and way to bring it up, so it's a little weird to ask this when they don't already know.
