Metronidazole first trimester??

Question

I’m currently 5 weeks pregnant and just got prescribed Metronidazole for BV. I trust my doctor but got alittle nervous when i got home and googled it and it says not safe in the first trimester. Has anyone else taken it this early and everything was fine?

I’m taking it now, I’m scared too I’m 4wks 2 days. My case is bad. There’s no way I can leave this untreated. Are you taking pills or gel?

How did everything go for you? Currently in this state of mind as I’m around 5 weeks needing to take this medicine and like you said google said it’s not safe for first trimester

I took it in first trimester, right around 10ish weeks. Baby is fine so far (im now almost 28). It is better to take the treatment than let bv go untreated in pregnancy 😊
