Speech delay, take 2😩

Am I the only one who’s December baby is not reciting Shakespearean sonnets yet?!? His pediatrician told me today he should be speaking 50 words by December. He’s got maybe 10 right now. No pressure boss, I’ll get him reciting the dictionary at our next appointment.😩 My 4.5 year old was speech delayed as well, he barely spoke until he was 2.5-3 now he will talk your ear off. He made me feel today like I’m just not speaking to my children. “They recommend reading to them and speaking to them as if they were going to respond.” We read multiple books a day and I don’t baby talk my children. I probably sound like a lunatic talking to them like they’re all adults lol Sorry for the rant ladies, but I hate the “your child must do this at this age.” Sometimes they’re truly just late bloomers😭 lol
