Cramps after ultrasound?

I had my 12 week ultrasound today and the baby wasn’t in the right position for the scan, so the tech started pressing really hard on my belly, and was shaking the wand to get the baby to move, which didn’t happen. She then did an internal ultrasound with no success. Ultimately I have to go back in a week and try again.

However this evening I’m feeling cramps like a period. I’m trying to remind myself that they are likely not related but has anyone else has this? Is it normal to jiggle your belly and press so hard it feels like you’re bruising? She actually stood up to put more weight behind it. She stopped when I gasped a few times. I did wonder if this was done because I’m plus size but I’ve never had anyone press so hard
