NYC metrocard

Im trying to settle a debate with my boyfriend we live in NYC and as kids we used to get student metrocards so we can travel to and from school. Now he says he remembers a full fare metrocard being green and the half fare metrocard being orange because he says he always got a full fare and it was a green card. I on the other hand remember getting a green card but it was always half fare while the orange card was always full fare. I googled it and ig it changed because now all half fare student metrocards are full fare now but back when i was going to school there was a green half fare metrocard and a orange full fare metrocard. Tell me im not the only who remembers? So did you remember half fare metrocards being green or orange and were full fare metrocards orange?
