Best formula?

Due in 2 weeks and although I'm aiming to breast feed I want to get some formula just incase. First time mum so overwhelmed with the variety that's available. Which ones would you recommend?

Aw god. So everyone will have an opinion on which formula is best. Honestly just try one. It will either work or it won’t.
My advice is regardless of what anyone says they are all different. 
All formulas are made with a 60/40 of what ever ingredients. 
Cow and gate and aptamil are manufactured by the same people. Aptamil is made with a 70/30 and isn’t recommended. 
Ready made milk and powder formula are very different in taste and texture. Ready made is sweeter and unused to use this when my little one was conscripted. 
YOU DO NOT NEED HUNGRIER BABY OR COMFORT MILK! these are completely unnecessary. Hungrier baby is just thicker and harder to digest and comfort milk, well just nasty. First infant milk until 12 months is more than enough. 
Pick a formula and stick with it. If after sheer persistence you have an unhappy baby, change the brand. It may not be what’s right for your baby.

I had to switch to 4 formula because my baby refused to drink.
I would say get something that easily found around your area and what you think is best.
I noticed that there are not much of formula options here.
I had to ship my baby formula all the way from Dubai which is not convenient at all.

I think Aptamil is the one most reccomended by drs.. but it didn't agree with my son. He has terrible gas and it didn't go away until we switched him to hipp

I'd say start with what is easily available to you in your local supermarket that way its not a hassle to get hold of. 
I went with the cheapest of the big brands that my supermarket stocked, that was Cow & Gate. Luckily my son has been fine with it so we've just continued with that (did switch to the comfort version when he was having trouble with wind and that was much better)
Like the previous poster has said don't stock up just in case you need to switch. 
Might be worth finding out which formula your hospital will give you if you're not able to breast feed, just so you can see if that's easily available to you if you start with it at the hospital. 
I wanted to breast feed but it didn't work out, we'd taken our formula to the hospital but for others who hadn't our hospital provided Aptimal.

Everyone will have a different opinion on this topic, so I’m not sure you’ll feel any clearer after! We ended up on hipp with my son after some wind issues and he was much better. Gone straight to hipp this time and had no issues.

It really depends on ur baby so whatever u choose, don’t get much. My baby started on aptamil but it didn’t agree with her so I ended up switching to Aldi mamia
