I’m a mom of 4 soon to be 5,two sets of twins and a singleton on the way. Recently my older set of twins were diagnosed with autism. I personally am on the spectrum and only got the diagnosis about 2 months before my babies. Natalia however the older twin is more of a ” severe case of ASD” according to her doctor. She has quite a bit of a speech delay and even lost some or her words. I’m doing my absolute best to give/get her the support/needs she needs but with her being only 1 it’s a little hard. The fit throwing us something that I’m having the hardest time with. Show throw herself on the floor and bang her head against the ground. my pediatrician told me to protect her head as much as I can while she’s having those fits but apparently there’s nothing I can do. which is completely understandable it’s just hard to watch her to be so upset and not being able to help. not only that but her sister has really bad hearing sensitivities and as soon as natalia starts screaming alia starts to get overstimulated. it’s incredibly stressful. i’m currently trying to teach my whole family ASL to help with the speech delay. Anyway honestly I just came on here asking for any advice or help or resources anything.
