✨18 fertilised 🥚 Transfer ➡️ 1 or 2? 🤷🏽‍♀️

First time of IVFer here. My husband and I are both 31 and generally healthy. Doing IVF after 2 yrs TTC due to low speed motility and poor morphology.

✨ [I hate that men’s issues are aggressively treated through our bodies 🙄 but hey… ]✨

I reacted a bit too well to stims so there was a mention of avoiding OHSS and I’ll be taking (a lot of) medication up to end of first trimester.

I feel that so far I’m managing it well. Found more advice on forums than at our clinic.

Anyway. Egg collection went well. They retrieved 20 eggs - 17 of them mature - and hubby provided an extra large sample to select from! 💦

The Drs are saying to transfer 1 this time and 2 next time if we want more bubbies. 🧊

I keep a dream diary and over the last year I’ve dreamt several times that I’ve given birth to twins. I’ve never told anyone about our fertility journey or my dreams and a colleague I’ve met 3 times also dreamt i had twin toddlers last month. My sis in law had a dream I was pregnant last night. None of these people know!! 🤔

I feel my gut is telling me to insist on transferring 2. We would be getting our moneys worth now we are here. And I keep thinking that I wanted to be a mama of 2 by now.

We can manage it and have a lot of support with our retired parents. As business owners work is/can be flexible.

My only teeny tiny worry is that my iron, platelet count, white blood cell count and haemoglobin count is usually on the low side. Since taking VIT D and iron supps it’s jumped up very slightly in 2 months. I’m even thinking about going back to red meat if it will help make 2 embies stick.
