Teething?

*edit* mystery solved the baby tested positive for strep 😭
So my 3 year old has strep throat and now the baby is having diarrhea and waking frequently during the night crying(he has slept all night since about 6 weeks old) no fever, is this strep or teething? He’s almost 4 months is that too young for teething? We go to the dr Monday but just wanted some input. Thanks!

It isn’t too young for teething. My babe has his first tooth and he’s just 4 months

Not too sure about the diarrhea but my baby's poops are very wet. She's EBF. Also went from sleeping through the night to waking and crying often. I think that part comes with the 4 month sleep regression. Definitely not too young for initial teething!

Children under 3, particularly babies, are unlikely to catch strep throat. I think it’s something about their bodies reject that bacteria somehow, I cannot recall. So it is rare for it to happen to a child under 3 so that’s good news! But just to be sure you might want to call the pedi and see if they want to run a test. High fevers and throwing up are common symptoms of strep. Strep can lead to other illnesses and complications if left untreated or not treated properly so might be worth a checkup just to be sure. Hope your babies get to feeling better soon!
