Fetal medicine scans

Hi all after a few losses we have finally made it to 12 weeks and are so excited 😁 however there are a few things different this time, I have 2 children with a previous partner and as much as this is magical it is also scary. I have been put on asprin, need to have growth scans from 28 weeks every 2 weeks due to my first being born "small", gd testing and also have to have a fetal medicine scan as my partner has congenital heart disease. I've been sent the scan it's on the 2nd december so I will be 18 weeks but I wondered if anyone could share their experiences if any? I am worried about this but also worried they may accidentally show gender ( we are going to find out but not at scan as we want to share the experience with the children) will they show the screen the whole time or will they just concentrate on heart? Also I'm used to scans being very caring due to situations but these are done by cardiac specialists so I'm also hoping they are not just stiff and make it comfortable if that makes sense lol anyway any info will be great xx
