When to transition to crib??

When did you transition bassinet to crib? Our crib is in the nursery and the bassinet is in our room. Our room isn’t big enough to move the crib in, so not sure what’s the best way to transition. She did use to nap in the crib but she got used to the bassinet and won’t dare be in the crib for naps. Although we okay in the crib, she doesn’t want to sleep in it.

My daughter was about 6 months onwards somewhen just after I think, she was getting too big for the bassinet so we had to finally transition to her cot in her room. I’d have kept her in our room longer otherwise! It felt awful and I was sad that she wasn’t beside me anymore but she did wonderfully. I’d go in and feed her, give her cuddles and settle her back down until she no longer needed night feeds :)

If I’m not mistaken, the recommendation is to roomshare until babe is 1 year old for SIDS prevention. That’s what we plan on doing but I’ve heard from a lot of folks that it can be disruptive to babe’s sleep to roomshare as they get a little older so I don’t know. I’m hoping we can do the full year for our peace of mind.
