Are they testing boundaries ? Trying to ?

So there’s been a few incidents lately that have me kind of frustrated with my boyfriend’s family.

- We do not post our baby on social media. I just feel he deserves privacy and I don’t feel comfortable. His family knows this. We went with his family to camp for a weekend. When we got back, they posted pictures of his nephew, who I adore. So I commented something like “oh I love him!” and they responded with “oh well we’re going to post pictures of (your baby’s name) too. To show him that we love him”. I was just like umm no? And to say it’s “to show you love him” sounds like such bullshit reason.

- Our baby just went up to size 3 diapers. Size 2 can fit but it’s really tight and he pees out of them quick. We went over there this past Saturday and when they changed him for us, they insisted on putting him in size 2 diapers still, which I thought was really weird considering they had both. When my boyfriend tried to tell them they were too small, they claimed that the size 2 fit him “last week” (we didn’t even see them last week?) and to just try to make it fit by putting it on a certain way. His diaper was already full when we came home not even half an hour later

-I told them that my baby shows more interest and happiness with solid foods instead of baby foods. So I plan on doing BLW. They said “no he’ll eat the purées”. I’m not going to force him to eat them if he shows no interest when his pediatrician says regular foods are fine too and he seems happier that way.

- I’m pregnant again and they keep saying that we’ll have to get him potty trained and off of bottles by the time the other baby comes. This might be controversial, but I’m NOT forcing my baby to grow up quicker than he is ready for just because I made the adult decision to have sex and got pregnant. Since I have a history of premature labor, he most likely won’t even be ONE by the time baby is here. And a baby still NEEDS both of those.
