✨TMI✨ hi mommas sorry if this is too much hehe, but I have an almost 5 month old, (he’ll be 5 month next week) at his 4 month check up he’s I ke gained 3/4 of a pound since his 3rd month check up. He’s been in the 1st percentile since birth, so he is technically considered “underweight” while all babies grow different my pediatrician recommended we start him on foods so we can get him some extra calories. I started with an organic baby oatmeal mixed with my breast milk for a couple nights, then recently tried a sweet potato purée. Which I gave to him for the first time yesterday. Have given him nothing today besides breast milk. His poop seems to be runnier than normal but I can’t tell if it’s considered diarrhea or not. Still has a thicker texture and not completely “watery” but still runny. Concerned weather it could be the sweet potatoes? But he also had a poop like this about a month ago when he wasn’t starting foods. Maybe something I’m eating? I don’t do a whole lot of dairy at all. He also has 2 bottom teeth cut through so he might be teething on and off. Most times his stool has a little bit of mucus which I hear can be caused by a teething baby because they’re salivating a lot more.
