Prenatal massage?

Anyone have one? Whats the difference between that and a regular massage? Would you choose that over going to a chiropractor?

Answer

There are certain places that are unsafe to massage during pregnancy and certain ways to do it, like having you lay on your side instead of your stomach or your back for too long. 
Massage and chiropractic care are different. If it's just muscle soreness then a massage might be all you need. If your body is out of alignment a massage won't make much difference. Often both together is needed. ART is a chiropractic technique that incorporates both tissue work and alignment, but it's not the same as a massage.

I haven’t had a prenatal massage yet, but I’m scheduled for one next month. I’ve previously gotten sports massages, but my massage therapist said I’d have to see a prenatal person now because they need special equipment that she doesn’t have.
