Please help me figure out our little boys name

The only name that my husband has shared so far that he likes is Smith. The man name Smith that he admires was amazing and Smith also used to be my maiden name which is really cool.

I tried for so long to come around to the name but I can’t picture calling him Smith on a day to day basis. (Then again I don’t call any of my kids by their first name - I’m such a nickname mom).

Our last son we ended up naming him Nathan because we both kind of agreed on it and it was a “safe” name, no one would roll their eyes at it.

I think it would mean a lot to my husband to name this little guy Smith. I’m looking for some support. I don’t really care for it as a a middle name. It would just feel like a hyphenated name.

Our kids love the name Noah, it means rest and comfort and we both have felt like “well I guess that’s another safe name” but it’s also so popular right now.

I love the names Isaac and Laughlin or Lachlan. Laughlin is super meaningful to me. We used to always say we would have a son and name him Laughlin.

Him and I also kind of like Matthew and Benjamin.

I need some encouragement! I want my husband to love his name too.

We came to a point where we were going to do “Noah Isaac H” or “Noah Benjamin H” it just doesn’t sit right with me that my husband isn’t I love with it.
