I want to remove my acrylics but cannot visit a salon .. is there any tips other then ripping them off ?

File the top layer and soak them in acetone keep repeating this process is also cut them right down if they are long

Yep, acetone! Use a heavy grit file first to rough them up and I find using clips with a cotton ball works way faster to break it down
Finish with a good wash and OIL and let them breathhhhhe

I’m a nail tech! I second Claire’s comment, also if you use nesting glass bowls you can put acetone in the smaller one and hot water in the bigger one it helps to make it go faster. Also the more you file off the faster it’ll go. 
Your nails will look like trash after because of being so dry, lotion up and give them a day before being too sad about their look
